Presenting a Bauhaus-inspired Skate Authentic duo

Berlin, Germany. (December 11, 2024) – Vans have joined forces once again with Civilist, a cultural cornerstone of the Berlin skate scene, for an elevated take on the classic Skate Authentic. With deep roots and a shared commitment to skate culture, this joint heritage is crystalised via the latest collaboration.

The collection includes a monochrome black and white style of the Authentic with the inclusion of Civilist’s Smiley Logo on both shoes. While the second style is a reimagination of our iconic checkerboard pattern, in primary hues of red, yellow and blue, paying homage to Bauhaus’ colour combo.

The campaign, shot by Andrew White, transports you into a world where product, design, space and reality are fused into one. Through a custom built 3 x 3m cubed room – playing into Vans’ Checkerboard heritage – the campaign is the real-life incarnation of this marriage of minimalism with undertones of playfulness.

The Vans x Civilist Authentic will be exclusively available through Civilist both in-store and online via www.civilistberlin.com from the 15th of December, in celebration of Civilist’s 15 year anniversary on December 12th.
